CLEANING TIPS:

  1. Clean from the Top to the Bottom - start by removing cobwebs, dust and debris from the ceiling and along the walls - going from top to bottom. Once you’ve done that, focus on any areas that need pre-treatment or soaking time

  2. Work products into target areas (ie stains on a rug - allow sufficient time to let the products soak in. Once saturated, get to work and remove tough stains

  3. Sweep and Vacuum floors before mopping or applying a wet cleaner. You want to pick up any loose dirt and debris before “moving it around with a mop”.

  4. Microwave: to easily remove food splatters, take a mug filled with water, and place it directly onto the microwave plate - press 3-4 minutes and let the steam do its thing: those caked on messes an now easily be wiped away

  5. Tiled and Fiberglass showers: mix 1 cup white vinegar with 1 cup warm water into a spray bottle and spray the areas using up and down motion. Let sit for 10 minutes and wipe clean. ** important: if your grout hasn’t been sealed - seal it prior to using vinegar**

  6. Granite countertops: mixing a small teaspoon of Dawn dish soap with warm water will do the trick. Be sure to use a soft cloth. Never scrub granite or use an abrasives.

  7. Butcher Block: NEVER use products such as Murphy’s oil soap on a butcher block. Always wipe away crumbs gently, and mix 1 tsp of Dawn dish soap with warm water and spray onto the wood. Let sit for 1 minute then wipe clean with a soft cloth. Repeat the wipe with warm water only, then dry using a soft towel.

  8. Farmhouse sink clean up is a snap: Mix baking soda with white vinegar, dish soap, and warm water. Keep in a spray bottle and spritz daily. Use a soft cloth to remove debris.

  9. Dryer: always unplug before cleaning. Using one tsp of Dawn dish soap with 2 cups of warm water, gently wipe down the drum being careful NOT to saturate. Follow by drying with a soft towel. Always clean the lint from the dryer vent after each load. Be sure to clean out the dryer vent pipe at least 4 times per year.

  10. Toilet: the key to successfully cleaning the bowl is to apply the cleaner to the underside of the rim, and allow the gel to drip down. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Then use an angled brush to clean.
