Homeowner's Guide

Now that we have the time, let’s be sure to check on some very important things in our homes.

1) Smoke & Carbon Detectors - be sure all are operating! Smoke detectors should not be more than 10 years old. Be sure to unscrew the cap and check the date on the side of each unit.

2) Furnace Cleaning - this is something we should do, at least every two years. Check with your manufacturer and/or installation company for service guidelines

3) Oil Tank - always check the underside of your oil tank by feeling along the bottom. If your hand shows oil, or rust, it may be time to have the tank checked.

4) Plumbing - whether you’re planning to remain in your home, or getting ready to sell, the plumbing in your home is very important.
