Fall Cleanup

Time for the leaves to change color, days to become shorter, grab the sweaters, and yes, also time to prepare your home for the Winter months that lie ahead.

Here are the Top 5 things to do during your Fall Cleanup: (before the first “freeze”)

1). Cover patio furniture or place in a protected area like a shed or garage.

2).  Turn off water to outside spigots.  At least remove any hoses that are still attached.

3). Remove leaves and debris out of gutters.

4). Winterize lawn mowers and clean garden tools.  A light coating of oil on the tools will keep them from rusting over the winter.

5). Winterize sprinkler systems by blowing out the water in the lines and shutting down the system for the winter.
